By twinning PVT and Green/Blue Hydrogen, the Solar Energy Plant can produce stabilized power 24/7 without batteries or molten salt. When this concept is applied in a combined cycle power plant, the overall efficiency increases up to 60%.

– A reliable Energy Source for 24/7 firm capacity

– Simple, Compact, Cheap and Highly Efficient

– Hydrogen can be extracted from:

Water(Green Hydrogen)

NG/Oil (Blue Hydrogen)

Application of PVT System in Green and Blue Hydrogen

– The hydrogen industry is well established and has decades of experience in industry sectors using hydrogen as a feedstock.
– The vast majority of Hydrogen being produced from Natural Gas.
– Currently more than 60 Mt of hydrogen is produced using conventional energy sources, which produces 840 Million Tons of CO 2 per year

Why Hassabou Solar PVT Technology is Important for Green/Blue Hydrogen?

Source: Price duration curves, grid fees and grid service revenues (applied as a discount on electricity prices) are taken from FCH JU (2017b).

It is critical to operate the hydrogen production systems at a load factor higher than 50% to keep the cost low.

In conventional solar PV without storage the load factor is always around 20%, adding battery storage will increase the energy production costs drastically and so the land footprint

Using Hassabou PVT can cut the cost by almost 50%

Levelized cost of hydrogen (LCOH) produced via PEM in 2017 and as expected in 2025

The cost of Green H2 with Hassabou PVT is 1.7-2 US$/kg, in 2025 can be 1.5 US$/kg
